Questions to Ponder

 1. What do you think Jonas saw the apple change into while the boys were playing catch?

 2. Why do you think Jonas and all the people that have a “stirring” have to take pills?

 3. What do you think will happen to Gabriel? 

 4. What job would Jonas fit in the most?

 5. Why does Fiona appear in Jonas stirring? 

Answers 

 1. I think Jonas saw the apple change into a red ball. I think that because only Jonas noticed it but no one else. That could mean that it was too small a change to be noticed and therefore could have changed into a red ball.

 2. I think the pills make it so that you have no feelings for anything because he wanted to bathe Fiona so he had feelings for her. The pills probably blocks all of that. 

 3. I think he may be released because he isn't growing and doesn't sleep well. He may not be healthy and therefore be released by the father.

 4. I think Jonas could easily be one of the people that bathe the elders. He has lots of experience and knows what to do already. He would start working immediately.

 5. Jonas likes Fiona and I guess wants to spend more time with her. The stirring may mean he is going through puberty and is starting to like girls.
